Supporting sailing education and boating safety for youth, adults, active duty and veteran service members.

LBYC Fund

Lake Belton Yacht Club Fund is a non-profit corporation and operates exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.  LBYC Fund purpose is to provide sailing and boating education along with water safety education and promote sailing and boating water sports.

Our LBYC Fund supports sailing and boating for youth, Boy & Girl Scouts along with Sea Scouts, high school and collegiate programs, adults, veteran or active duty service members, and eventually handicapped,.  The program also fosters local, national, and international competitive sailing and boating activities.  To maximize our impact on our current efforts, we support various sailing and boating programs geared towards a wide array of individuals, including youth and collegiate education programs.  We may also seek to collaborate with other non-profit organizations which fall under the 501(c)(3) section of the Internal Revenue Code and are operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes.  Programs will be administrated by the LBYC.

Currently our program is entirely on a volunteer basis.  A future goal is to provide internships and additional volunteer opportunities, allowing for increased involvement in the program activities which will lead to a more positive impact on the community as a whole.  In addition, another future goal is to be able to fund employment of a full or part time Sailing Programs Director, adult and youth Sailing Instructors, security and dock management, and to erect a public Sailing Center & Pavilion.

At times, per the discretion of the board of directors, we may also provide grants for sailing and boating education, competitive sailing, and instructor development.
